The vent switch is a Precursor artifact in The Precursor Legacy. By stepping on the top of the device, Jak can activate eco vents around the world according to the switch's color orientation. There were only two vent switches seen in the game; one in Forbidden Jungle which activated the blue eco vents, and one in Snowy Mountain which activated the yellow eco vents. Each of them were unlocked in their respective mission; "Find the blue vent switch" and "Find the yellow vent switch", both of them also held a power cell in place on top of the switch.
The blue eco vent switch activates the following vents:
- The first vent at Sentinel Beach that Jak uses to complete the mission Launch up to the cannon tower.
- Two vents in the Forbidden Temple in the Forbidden Jungle.
- Four vents in the Fire Canyon.
The yellow eco vent switch activates the following vents:
- One yellow eco vent in the Mountain Pass that Jak uses to find a hidden power cell.
- One yellow eco vent in the Spider Cave that Jak can use to complete the mission Navigate the spider tunnel more easily.
- One yellow eco vent at Snowy Mountain that Jak uses to open a frozen crate.
