Characteristics
Edit
Appearance
Edit
The Spyder Gunner has a typical blue Metal Head skin and four legs (which are placed on each corner of its lower body). It has a relatively big upper torso and two arms, one with an arm-mounted Dark Eco blaster.
Behavior
Edit
Spyder Gunners will usually patrol areas, sometimes in large groups of up to four members but are also known to execute ambushing attacks (one which contained over 10 Gunners). Due to their heavy body and armor they are not very fast. Once Jak had to fight against a throng of camouflaged Gunners in Haven Forest, ability to use this technology shows higher intelligence. The Spyder Gunner runs around when Jak encounters them.
Equipment
Edit
A Spyder Gunner has thick body armour on its legs, arms, the front and back of its body. It also has an arm-mounted Dark Eco blaster on its right arm.
Abilities
Edit
Some Spyder Gunners have been shown to have cloaking, however this is really only shown in Jak II in Haven Forest.
Combat

Attacks
Edit
The Gunner has one simple short-ranged attack. It will fire Dark Eco right in front of it, and then shoot forwards in a straight line, although it can slightly follow Jak if he goes and runs around him. After each attack they will move to a different position and fire again.
Evasion
Edit
Because his blaster attack is relatively short ranged it's possible to just stay a little distance away from them. Otherwise just run around, for they are not fast enough to hit you.
Strategy
Edit
It is possible to take down a Spyder Gunner using a melee combo attack, using the Scatter Gun. This is not recommended because after each attack they will move away and, while their gun is worth scratch from far away, when directly in front of it is guaranteed to hit you.
Either use the Blaster, Beam Reflexor, Vulcan Fury or Peace Maker to take them down from far away avoiding them altogether.
