The Southern Tour is a combat racing track used in the Kras City Grand Championship during Jak X: Combat Racing. It is the fourth tour track in the championship and the only one that does not actually drive along the entirety of the frozen wastes of the Icelands. Starting out the end of the tundra of Mountaintop Highway, you will remain on this track for around a quarter of the race before veering off onto Glacier Alley, followed by Icebound Citadel, completely ignoring Frozen Speedway and the original portion of Timberline Track for the remainder of the race as you reach the finish line on the citadel route.

Description[]

In the starting area you would normally have to be wary of giant snow boulders, though they are not present this time. Head across the frozen tundra and across multiple narrow bridges into a tunnel. Watch out for a pit on your left at the end as the road opens up again. Another tunnel follows before you are eventually forced to head left and off the road. Multiple forks and drops from high ground signify the portion of the Glacier Alley track; keep your speed to avoid the water below. Advance knowledge of the present eco pick-ups can make choosing what path to take for each split easier depending on your needs.

Eventually you will reach the Icebound Citadel. [a] It has wide and spacious roads but at times some of its structures can be quite the hindrance with support pillars jutting out. Keep in mind that the short staircases present here and there often precede a sharp turn, meaning valuable time is lost as you are sent flying into the air and potentially hit a wall if you fail to slow down in time.

Near the end of the track you have to enter a structure and take a sharp turn right, however on the left is a short gap in the wall which will lead to a shortcut. As long as you have enough speed to cross the gap you can avoid the normal route. It will not be long until you are merged with the rest of the pack, however, as the final stretch of the tour leads you through a snowy canyon with a somewhat S-shaped path straight to the finish line.

  1. The Timberline Track is visible on the right but blocked with a barrier.
