Snowy Mountain is a location in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. A cold and barren mountainous area, here lives a unique clan of soldier lurkers who have their own lurker fort. There are some Precursor artifacts scattered throughout the area and some more still-functioning structures and objects can be found within various icy caves. Here also lies the Yellow Vent Switch, hidden below a field of ice.
The Precursor LegacyEdit
Snowy Mountain one of the mountains accessible from the Volcanic Crater hub (the only one available to Jak). The location is home to a large Lurker base and a varying amount of Precursor technology. There is a switch to activate the Yellow Eco Vents, similar to a Blue Eco switch in Forbidden Jungle.
Snowy Mountain is a mountain next to the Volcanic Crater accessible from the gondola inside Volcanic Crater, and the main point of interest is the Lurker Fort. It has three areas which contain frozen dark eco canisters. It also has ice bridges, grottos, a frozen lake and caves. It is home to a yellow vent switch, a Trans-Pad which will spawn the Flut Flut, which can be used to navigate floating platforms which lead to a cave containing the switch that opens the lurker fort gate, as well as a lurker infested cave.
The mountain is home to the largest Lurker infestation at the moment, possibly ranging from over 50 Lurkers. The Glacier Troops appear to be the leaders, with ice lurkers possibly native to the area. Finally the most common soldier lurkers, which spawn endlessly from the deep snow and also an immense amount of hopping lurkers. Their Fort, which can only be accessed by opening the Gate going underground, contains two Battering Rams.
There's a varying amount of Precursor tech found around the area. Most common are the Blockers, these strange objects have a button and a forcefield surrounding them. Their purpose is unknown, but perhaps they were used to act as a defense against enemies or to stop an avalanche.
In one cave you can find a large amount of moving Precursor objects, though they only pose a challenge as they push you in the depths below, their purpose remains unknown. They were most likely added to make the level more challenging. There's also a large amount of Dark Eco Drums, frozen in ice in Precursor chambers.
Finally one can find the Yellow Eco Vent Switch, located beneath a frozen lake.
