These Silver Hawk missiles are classified as "slow home". They automatically lock on but don't track as well as other missiles.”— Daxter, The Lost Frontier
The slow homing missile, also called the Silver Hawk missile, is an plane weapon featured in The Lost Frontier. Close to the raw power of the ground attack rocket with tracking similar to that of the lock-on missile, slow homing missiles can be considered the missile of choice for those who would prefer both. Their tracking capabilities are sufficient, but their innate turn rate is too slow to catch up if your intended target decides to move away from a direct flight path. Despite this, it is quite useful for the slow and sturdier targets such as the Aeropan transport, which goes well with the high rate of fire and reload speed and the decent damage each missile carries.
The slow homing missile is visually identical to the ground attack rocket and the Armageddon's primary missile.
