The Seal of Mar is the crest of the House of Mar and also appears as an important Precursor Artifact in Jak II and Jak 3.

Design

The Seal slightly resembles that of the yin yang sign, although there are two small circles at the sides. The Seal is usually made of Precursor metal, but can also be found carved into other objects.
The seal is fairly small and can be held in the palm of the hand. The seal also seems to sparkle when the chosen one holds it.
RoleEdit
Although the Seal of Mar is mainly the crest of the House of Mar, it is also used to open old gates which were created by Mar. They are passed on by the descendants of Mar and each carries one small Seal.
Jak had to use one (although he had to gather the pieces first) to open a gate at the Mountain Temple to gain access into No Man's Canyon in order to activate the Light Tower.
In Jak 3 he had to use another one (which he got from Ashelin Praxis) by the Oasis so he can go back to the Monk Temple and go talk to the Oracle for his brand new Light Jak Light powers.
LocationEdit
There is no specific place where the Seal is located. Of course each descendant owned one (Young Jak and Damas gave theirs to Jak) and another was carved into the Precursor Stone. Finally there was also one at the Pumping Station, for unknown reasons.
