Precursor Temple is a race track in the sport Combat Racing in Jak X: Combat Racing.

DescriptionEdit

Pass through multiple archways before going through the temple itself. Within the temple, you'll find gigantic pools of shallow water flooding the entire thing, giving you lots of splish-splash room to play with. The turns are rock solid, so be careful when flying through the air off of the small ramps inside of this place. A gigantic divider rests quaintly outside of the temple, so pick your path (left is likely easiest by nature) and get prepared for a second one. Up ahead, you'll encounter two small lifts to give you some hangtime. Both of them are in the center of the stage. After hopping the cliff, stick to one side of the course for a while, as several dividers block the way. You could get to the other side if you really wanted to, but who wants to do that if they don't have to? Some more lifts appear: two on the sides, one in the center after them. Follow the winding road and avoid the enormous dividers on both sides. In the next room, avoid drowning in the lava to the right (between us, it's not good for the lungs) and dash for the checkpoint up ahead. This stage is tricky for Death Race participants during the watery digs of the temple, and even worse for Turbo Dashers. Make your time lost up in these sections during the latter half of the track.

Ten lap Exhibition Mode races at this track tend to take around 18–19 minutes to complete. The biggest challenges are in the water traps and the jump before the first set of track partitions. Water traps tend to cause cars that aren't boosting to flip over once they do start boosting, which either leaves them stuck until they flip over, or being reset. The jump before the partition is dangerous because if you're not on one side or the other, you'll slam into the center divider, while being too far to one side or the other will send you into the outer wall, or even into the ocean.
