The pistol appears to be the weapon of choice for many of Haven City's residents. It's a far weaker weapon than the Morph Gun used by Jak. Its shots are neither fast nor powerful.

• Ashelin uses a pistol during Jak II and Jak 3.
• Torn carries two pistols; however, he is never seen holding or firing them during the games.
• Count Veger uses a pistol to threaten Jak at the Planetary Defence System at the center of the planet.
• Erol is frequently seen carrying a pistol during Jak II.
• Vin carries a pistol for self-defense but has terrible aim.
• Jinx, Grim and Mog each carry their own pistol when being escorted through the Sewers by Jak.
• Taryn, seen in the game Daxter, doesn't use it, but she points it at Daxter after saying his "comment".

UsageEdit

While the pistol is terrible for power, it is great for alerting Jak to Jinx, Grim and Mog since hearing the pistol firing is a sure sign that they are under attack by the Metal Heads. It is probably widely used because it is the cheapest and easiest gun to get a hold of in Haven, where it will still do considerable damage to the average citizen.
