The Metal Head Nest is a location in Jak II. It is here where Metal Kor staged his base of operations. A barren wasteland filled with Dark Eco, strange plant life and many broken-down tanks. The most heavy concentration of Metal Heads can be found here. It is also the location of the legendary weapon made by Mar designed to crack open the nest. Jak used it break open the core of the nest and eventually defeat Metal Kor.

Jak IIEdit
The Nest is the lair where the Metal Heads live in Jak II and where Metal Kor is fought. Mar's gun is in the Nest and is aimed at the core in order to blast through the defenses and allow access. The Rift Gate is also held there. It seems to be a very small nest, or it is just a part of it.
Jak and Daxter confronted Metal Kor, who told them that the Kid was Jak, and that Jak had been sent to the past to develop his kill skills (thus Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy). When Jak defeated Metal Kor, the Rift Gate was activated, and Young Samos and the Kid were sent to the past, finishing the game.

The nest is located somewhere in the wasteland. Judging by the appearance of the ruined buildings, the Nest may be near, or even part of, a city section that suffered a similar catastrophe to Dead Town(or the buildings there could be ruined forts even). Before you go to the nest, you can hear Torn say on the communicator, "You must go to the wasteland and crack open the Metal Head Nest." However, the nest is not the same one located on the island with Spargus, but is located on the mainland. It is possible the official name of the island is the Wasteland, properly capitalized, but that it's also common slang to refer to anything outside of the major cities as the wasteland, non-capitalized, due to the devastation the Metal Heads caused.
Precursor OrbsEdit
The Nest has seven Precursor orbs to find. One can be gained during the mission Break barrier at Nest and the other six can be found after using Mar's weapon. If these orbs aren't collected before completing the mission Attack the Metal Head Nest, they are inaccessible later.
NotesEdit
- After completing the mission 'Defeat Metal Kor at Nest' it is not possible to return to the Nest as the Air Train which takes the player there will disappear from the Port. If the player wants all seven Precursor orbs at the Nest, they must be obtained before completing 'Destroy Metal Kor at Nest' or they will never be available again.
- You can see some of the nest from the palace towers.
