Marauders are deadly outcasts and foes living at the Wasteland in Jak 3. They are a nomadic and merciless faction with cars which resemble and are possibly stolen from Spargus. As much animal as men, these beasts live only to fight and destroy. They also have a central Stronghold on the rock formations on the edge of the Wastes. Surprisingly, the Marauders will not step foot near the Leaper Lizard Pens possibly due to the fear of a retaliation by the Wastelanders. It may be that the Pens are also regarded as Monk property and many of them leave it alone out of potential religious respect.

Jak 3Edit

The Marauders appear in all 3 Spargus Arena battles; Complete Arena training course, Earn 1st War Amulet and Earn 2nd War Amulet. The Marauders were fought throughout the Wasteland in their Buggies which they used to attack Jak They appeared later in the mission Defend Ashelin at Oasis, in which Ashelin Praxis arrived to speak to Jak and the Marauders attacked her. Several leaders were defeated in Take out Marauder Stronghold.

CharacteristicsEdit

Marauders have no definable characteristics, aside from their armor and weapons, which appear rather crude, possible made from scrap metal. They don't appear to be have much of an honesty system like the Wastelanders and instead have a relentless thirst

LocationsEdit

The Marauders have their own living place - Marauder Stronghold. In that place they build plans and attack the Wastelanders and other people who venture into the Wasteland. Also the Leaper Lizard pens seems to be built or destroyed by Marauders. They also appear in the Spargus Arena. The true reason for why they appear in the arena is unknown, but it is possibly the fact that they are prisoners used to test newcomers to the city.

It seems that at one time, the Marauders lived in the Icelands as there are fortresses located all over the area in Jak X: Combat Racing. It is unknown if they still inhabit the arctic environment, most likely, they still do.

MilitaryEdit

The Marauders don't have a specific military. They will simply drive around the Wasteland and attack Wastelanders they see and fight any intruders to their Stronghold on foot.

Marauders mainly use swords, but in the third arena battle they use axes with guns.

VehiclesEdit

Marauders have two known types of vehicles. The standard ones are encountered in the wasteland and feature light weaponry, while catapults were used to break the Spargus gates.

NotesEdit

• Marauders are probably Wastelanders that were banished from Spargus, by Damas, because of not doing their duty or being too murderous and corrupt.
• Strangely, you can't see any "activity" inside the Marauder Stronghold. It is possible they only return to it during sandstorms or to sleep.
