The magno mine is a racing weapon used in the sport Combat Racing in Jak X: Combat Racing. It drops three spiked, magnetic, mines behind you in a row. Any racer who drives close enough to a magno mine will find that the mines latch on to his car and detonate after a few seconds. Magno mines can be shaken off by either scraping the car past a wall or by jumping a few times. Removed mines will become useless, it is also possible to destroy from a distance with the vulcan fury, Fragmentation Grenade, Damage Shield or their upgraded versions.

Due to the ease of getting rid of magno mines they're useless against human players, similar when used in an attempt to shake off attacking AI pursuers; they will still have some time to fire at you before the mines explode. It is recommended to keep these mines behind in case of a Homing Missile attack or simply use them when you can pick up a new Red Eco weapon.
