Kras City is a major population center in the Jak and Daxter series, it's located near a group of small islands and close to the ocean. It's exact position to Haven City is unknown however. Considered the hub for the sport Combat Racing, Kras City has been ruled by crime lords who also control the sport. Its existence is revealed for the first time in Jak X: Combat Racing.

OverviewEdit

First and foremost, Kras is the home of the Kras City Grand Championship, the hub of the Combat racing circuit. It appears to be even more advanced than Haven, and doesn't seem to have suffered much, if at all, from the war with the Metal Heads (likely due to the city's location, built on docks above the sea). In fact, the only time the metal monsters have appeared in Kras in the series thus far has been for a Game Hunt challenge, wherein a group of never-before-seen Metal Heads were released into a park to be killed by the attending racers.

Kras is a center of organized crime, playing host to two crime lords--Mizo and Rayn--as well as apparently being the former home of Krew. The population of the city is unknown, but in spite of the heavy criminal influence the city seems to be doing extremely well for itself as far as money and governing goes. The number of Precursor Orbs that can be received in one race in the tourney dwarf all those attainable in the previous three games combined(although this could be because, as the orbs have been used as currency in the whole series, it would be unnecessary to add a new currency), making it obvious that Kras is a very wealthy city; the apparent lack of law enforcement doesn't seem to cause much trouble as far as outward appearances go, considering Kras is by far the cleanest and brightest city in the series.

As for the city layout, there are various terrains and areas shown in different races. Kras has an intricate sewer system, wide public streets, trains that are used to carry cargo around the docks, lush parks, and specialized sections used only for the races such as the Dirt Stadium and Mar Coliseum. The name of latter of these denotes that Kras may have been built by Mar in much the same way as Haven was, and this serves as a fine explanation for the various obviously Precursor statues shown throughout the city, but no canon information is provided. The only time people are seen is in the bar, people are not seen on the streets because of the races that are taking place
