Guard Rifle

The Guard Rifle is a type of rifle used by the Krimzon Guard in Jak II.

DesignEdit

A plain gray rifle, with a brown handle and leather strap around the barrel. It appears to be semi-automatic. The difference between the Rifle and the Taser is that the Rifle has a bayonet on the bottom of the barrel and fires energy beams.

RoleEdit

The primary weapon used by Guards and Elite Guards, the Guard Rifle is the main weapon for the Krimzon Guard infantry. Being able to fire multiple times in quick succession at an enemy from decent range makes it a formidable weapon. If an enemy does manage to come close, it can be used to smash them away.

AttacksEdit

A simple shot, directed at a far-away enemy.

EvasionEdit

Either use a Zoomer, or roll jump as much as possible. If in danger and surrounded, try going on an all-out spastic button mashing as to distract the Guards.

StrategyEdit

Try to get as close as possible using long jumps, then defeat the Guard in a melee attack using a quick punch and spin kick or Scatter Gun combo. The Guard Rifle is dangerously accurate at long range, so either get in close or escape as soon as possible.
