The Gambler is a man living at Rock Village. He is, after all, a gambler and had lost all his money and even his pants on a bet that the Warrior would defeat Klaww. Later, Jak and Daxter pass and he convinces Jak to beat the time race on Deadman's Gorge in Precursor Basin. Jak beats the time using Keira's A-Grav Zoomer and indeed receive a Power Cell from the Gambler.
They also paid him 90 Precursor Orbs to get him back on his feet.

- The Gambler was last seen letting a huge stack of chips ride on the biggest spin of his life just before Billie's Bells and Whistles casino sank into the swamp. He had finally traded in his trademark barrel in for a gilded and diamond-encrusted oil drum, so obviously the Gambler's luck had returned for a brief time. When asked why he hadn't just gone back to wearing regular clothes, the Gambler said he liked the "loose, air-free, dangling feeling the barrel gave his lucky parts." In fact, the Gambler was just about to release his own line of designer barrels for the rich and famous. The barrel line had already taken the runways of Parish by storm, and orders were flooding in. The fashion world will mourn his loss.
