The Flut Flut is an immense species or type of bird, only found in the old world. Though it is incapable of flight, due to its large size and weight, it can jump high and run fast. Sometimes it can even achieve a short time of flight. It has blue feathers with a yellow pattern on the top of the wings and back.
Due to the size of a single Flut Flut egg, the grown-up birds must be immense and well over 30 meters. It is unlikely that they are hostile though, as the mother of the only known Flut Flut was captured and presumably killed and eaten by Lurkers. This suggests that the much stronger Metal Heads easily wiped them off the planet, making them an extinct species.
Jak and Daxter had to rescue an egg for the Bird Lady on Sentinel Beach. It cracked open and the Flut Flut thought Daxter was its mother. The bird is transported using Trans Pads.

So far the Flut Flut is one of the few who is immune to the poisonous swamps of Boggy Swamp and its thick feathers allow it to cross Snowy Mountain with relative ease.

It is either capable of a Burst Attack or a Dive attack. Burst attacks always thrusts forward, like Jak’s fist. A Dive attack is diagonal, however and has an area of effect. Once it hits the ground a small purple cloud forms. This is either Dark Eco, but probably some odd poison.

In the Snowy Mountain, the Flut Flut is susceptible to a glitch that allows it to travel anywhere in the level not limited to the transport pad:
To escape the invisible wall on the snowy mountain by going backwards you must do this;go to the middle of the ledge, double jump into the wall and dive onto it and keep jumping, and you will phase in side the wall. Then jump diagonally into the wall and you can go onto the bridge and roam around the level.
