The pelican is a bird in The Precursor Legacy. During a mission "Get the power cell from the pelican" at Sentinel Beach, it scooped up a power cell which was placed out in the middle of the beach. Daxter then encouraged Jak to go to its nest and retrieve it. Upon reaching the nest, it will spit the power cell back out on to a grassy platform after being attacked. Jak must then reach the platform before the pelican does.

Once access to the cannon has been granted after launching yourself up to the tower, it is possible to kill the pelican by aiming correctly.
