Mountain Pass is a location in The Precursor Legacy, connecting Rock Village to Volcanic Crater. It is a vast stretch of land consisting of both volcanic terrain and mountainous, grassy plains. Similar to the Precursor Basin, due to the massive geography of the pass, it is traversed via the A-Grav Zoomer.
History[]
The Mountain Pass was home to Klaww, from where he bombarded Rock Village with fiery boulders. After Jak defeated Klaww, he had to race against three pedal-copter lurkers further into the pass, acting as messengers for a quicksand lurker to detonate the pass with explosives rigged throughout the terrain. As Jak swept past the pedal-copter lurkers at the end of the canyon, he crashed into the quicksand lurker’s detonator with the zoomer, destroying them both preserving the pass, earning a power cell afterwards.
Geography[]
Mountain Pass is a large valley between Rock Village and Volcanic Crater. There is a small entrance section consisting of molten lava, the home to Klaww's perch. Succeeding this area is an extended plain of grassy cliffs flourishing with fir trees and littered with dark eco explosives. In between each of these grassy cliffs are bottomless pits, making the cliffs serve as a type of "track" for the A-Grav Zoomer. At the end of this valley is the entrance to Volcanic Crater. The entrance is a tunneled-out cave, continuing with dark eco explosives and bottomless pits. It is additionally littered with red eco crystal formations and a few blue eco vents. At the end of the cave is the path leading directly into Volcanic Crater.
