Dark Eco Silos, as the name suggests, were monolithic Precursor silos containing vast amounts of Dark Eco. This area is the spot where Jak and Daxter fought Gol and Maia in their Precursor Robot, and used Light Eco to destroy it.
Gol and Maia attempted to open the Silos and flood the planet with Dark Eco. Their plans however failed due to Jak and Daxter.

There were actually three Dark Eco Silos in the Old World:
- One, the best known one and largest, was at Gol & Maia's Citadel.
- The second largest silo was at Misty Island.
- The third and final Dark Eco Silo in the Old World was at Lost Precursor City.
[edit] Theories
It is unknown why these Silos were created, but there are some speculations.
- Possibly used by the Precursors to store Dark Eco to be used as a power source
- Possibly used to contain the Eco that they couldn't control, as it corrupted them into Dark Makers
- Created by the Precursors to keep the Metal Heads from getting to the Dark Eco (which increases their power) during their war.
