The Bloody Hook is an establishment in Kras City featured in Jak X: Combat Racing. It is a bar that stands as one of Kras City's iconic cultural characteristics, though it only makes a few appearances throughout the game.
The bar first appears in the opening sequence, in the midst of Daxter's story to Edje and Shiv about his and Jak's first days in Kras. Near the "conclusion" of his story, Edje and Shiv's leader, Razer, pulled out a knife, following up on death threats to Jak and Daxter. Jak arrived just in time, crashing through and obliterating the window-side fish tank of the bar with the Sand Shark.
Other than this, the bar appears in various other scenes, albeit with little to no relevance. It is inside the bar that the group witnessed Pecker's hiring to G.T. Blitz's TV show (via a TV mounted on the wall), as well as when Blitz let Jak know of side jobs he could do to earn prizes. It is during this scene in particular that Blitz notes the establishment's capacity to induce local Kras color, indicating it is a cultural characteristic of the town. It otherwise serves as the setting for the scenes "Jak Confronts Razer", "Jak's Dark Secret", "Blitz Bares All", and the epilogue.
The Bloody Hook is located in the north east area of Kras City, on the first floor of a tall building on the right side of the first bridge featured in the opening sequence. The exterior has drainage tunnels out of which water is thrown back into the bay surrounding the building. It is also decorated with statues holding large torches in their hands. The bar's main window, which allows for the blue-tinted ambient lighting, is a fish tank containing some variations of jungle fish, similar to those seen in The Precursor Legacy. This fish tank window, as well as the bar's sign (both pictured right) is able to be seen along the Kras City race track. Although the fish tank was destroyed in the prologue, it was shortly thereafter repaired.
With crooked wooden flooring, tables with cask bases, several fishing nets, mounted steering wheels for ships, crossed paddles, and life preservers, the interior of the bar is modeled with a high-seas type decor, most likely to fit the city's oceanbound state. There is also a bar, a jukebox, several mounted picture frames as well as a few mounted televisions.
