HistoryEdit

Jak IIEdit

In Jak II, the Blaster is given to Jak by Krew after Jak does the mission Destroy turrets in Sewers for Krew. Krew gives Jak the weapon, but Jak must Beat Blaster Gun Course before progressing.

Jak 3Edit

In Jak 3, Damas gives it to Jak after completing the arena battle Earn 1st War Amulet. Unlike Jak II, there are more weapons and variants of the Blaster in the Yellow Mod.

The Lost FrontierEdit

In The Lost Frontier, Jak recieves the weapon from the Aeropans during the Aeropa gun course, and after completing this gun course, adds it to the Gunstaff.

The Blaster's design is the standard Morph Gun design with an elongated barrel, which also has a laser that will automatically lock-on to nearby targets for pin-point accuracy.

CombatEdit

AttacksEdit

The Blaster fires a short laser blast at the target. While in some cases it may be a bit on the weak side, the Blaster has a solid rate of fire, perfect range and targeting, and is probably one of the best in the hands of an experienced warrior.

TechniquesEdit

When the player performs the jump kick they can then hit R1 to fire multiple shots from the Blaster at various targets. This can be useful to quickly hit multiple enemies with one shot.

StrategyEdit

The Blaster is perfect for any small, fast or lone critter you find. The laser allows you to kill them from a great distance and while not particularly strong it still does the job with it's multi-fire function when combined with a normal attack. It can also be used after a Gun Butt to fire 3 shots directly at the struck enemy. If fired after a Spin Kick, the Blaster will fire a quick burst of three shots at the enemy struck, or in different directions (if the enemy isn't hit) making it also useful against tougher enemies as well.

NotesEdit

  • The yellow mod of the Gunstaff works like the Blaster, and even uses it's same ammo and sound effects.
  • The Blaster was the name of one of the many weapons from Ratchet & Clank.
