It's been in my family for centuries! Used it to take out the infamous curly crab infestation of '67, and you'll need it to take out this swarm. But be gentle with her! I don’t know what I'd do if something ever happened to 'ol Betsy.”— Osmo, Daxter
Betsy, affectionately referred to as little Betsy or ol' Betsy, also known as the crop duster (or just duster), is an old zoomer owned by Osmo's family in Daxter. Osmo allows Daxter to ride it when traversing Breezy Valley through a warp gate, in order to kill metal bugs that infest it.
According to Osmo, his great-grandfather acquired the zoomer in '67, and it has been passed down through generations. Using a self-contained pesticide system, it was used for centuries as a crop duster to treat the fields and forests surrounding Haven City (namely Breezy Valley and presumably Haven Forest, among others). Osmo allowed Daxter to use it when exterminating bugs. First, Daxter had to cure plants from a bug infestation, by collecting gas from vents and spraying it over them. Immediately afterwards, Daxter was tasked with killing plant-eating bugs around the central plant, from which a hive queen would then emerge.
Upon his return to the Kridder Ridder shop he inadvertently crashed the zoomer, but quickly put the parts together and hid the pieces from Osmo with a cloth. Later, Taryn told Daxter to "finish the job" in Breezy Valley and also mentioned how she fixed 'Betsy'. Daxter would then have to take down three more hive queens.
Little Betsy has a similar appearance to the A-Grav Zoomer from The Precursor Legacy. It is a green zoomer with two propellers at the back and one at the front, and a small cockpit which Daxter can ride in. It is notable for being the only other zoomer with technology similar to that of the A-Grav.[a]
Little Betsy is slower than most zoomers in the series, which is presumably due to its age. However, it is still a capable zoomer which can jump short distances, spray gas collected from vents, and is durable enough to crash into bugs without sustaining damage and either kill or damage them. The zoomer is not capable of outrunning the hive queens, meaning that the player must cut corners in order to catch up with them.
