Attack the Metal Head nest was a mission in Jak II. After having broken the barrier to the Nest using Mar's gun, Jak and Daxter went and attacked it head-on to kill Metal Kor.
Completion of this mission in the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4 versions of Jak II will unlock the bronze trophy Heavy Distortion.
Walkthrough[]
To begin with, this section of this area is mostly a pretty wide valley-like pass. There's three grunt elephants walking around a fixed path here, they will periodically release a burst of electricity around them forcing you to stay away from them. They also cannot be harmed by any of your weapons, so just wait until they pass by or go around them. Another tip is to not go forward before taking out all nearby enemies. Doing so will only trigger more mantises and flying spiders to appear.
Considering the numbers here, it's better to retreat a few times so you can thin out the hordes before you're overrun. Progress slowly and eventually you'll reach the end of this pass. Go down into the next place and you'll see another grunt elephant blocking your way. Take care of any mantises nearby then use the JET-Board to cross the dark eco pools and go around it. More mantises and flying spiders will attack you here.
Go forward a little more and you'll enter the center of the nest; a last swarm of mantises will attack you here at which point you'll probably want to use the Peace Maker. Head into the heart of the nest to start a cutscene and begin the final mission, "Defeat Metal Kor at nest".
Precursor orbs[]
The Precursor orbs in this area are permanently lost after entering the area where Metal Kor resides, meaning you cannot go back here so they can only be obtained in this mission and the previous one, "Break barrier at nest".
